2018-19 Winter(ish) Film Preview – Part Two

Back with Part Two of my winter-ish film preview, which will cover films through the first quarter of 2019, as well as some into April.

SERENITY – JAN 25 (RESCHEDULED FROM THE FALL)

CHAOS WALKING – MAR 1
(Trailer has not been released yet)
A dystopian world where there are no women and all living creatures can hear each others’ thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds called Noise.
Starring: Tom Holland (the most recent Spider-Man) and Daisy Ridley (Rey from Star Wars)

CAPTAIN MARVEL – MAR 8

US – MAR 15
(Trailer has not been released yet)
The latest from writer/director Jordan Peele of Get Out fame. Plot is yet unknown, but film stars Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Academy Award Winner Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave)

GREYHOUND – MAR 22
(Trailer has not been released yet)
The last time Tom Hanks made a World War II film, it was pretty damned good. So yeah, keep this one on your radar.

WHERE’D YOU GO, BERNADETTE – MAR 22
(Trailer has not been released yet)
Any time that writer/director Richard Linklater (Dazed and Confused, the Before Trilogy, Boyhood, etc) makes a film, it’s going to make my list. Add Cate Blanchett to the mix, and I’m doubly interested.

DUMBO – MAR 29

SHAZAM! – APR 5
