Net Neutrality in a Nutshell

Don’t think you should give a crap about net neutrality?

Think again.

The FCC is preparing to cave to the demands of Big Cable, and allow cable providers to individually charge which websites get higher speeds and more bandwidth than others. In this way, if you like watching videos on Netflix, but Netflix doesn’t pay Comcast for the rights to higher bandwidth, then Comcast could theoretically slow down the speed at which Netflix is delivered to their customers – so much so, that it could make Netflix unusable.

That’s not a theoretical – it actually happened.

Watch the video below; I can’t do this outrage justice the same way that John Oliver did on Last Week Tonight. Then make sure you go troll the FCC’s website, and tell them you want to keep net neutrality just the way it is.
