Summer 2017 Films – Part One

It’s May 1, which means it’s officially the summer movie season, which will last from now until roughly Labor Day. In the wake of sequels, prequels, reboots and retellings, the previous few summer seasons have been somewhat disappointing. Here’s hoping 2017 delivers us a better batch of big budget films – if for no other reason than the DC summer weather is atrocious and movie theaters are cool and dark.

Here’s a few I’m excited about coming out in May and June. Next week, we’ll get into July and August.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, VOL 2 – MAY 5

KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD – MAY 12

THE WALL – MAY 12

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 5: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES

DRONE – MAY 26

WONDER WOMAN – JUNE 2

THE MUMMY – JUNE 9

MEGAN LEAVY – JUNE 9

THE BOOK OF HENRY – JUNE 16

BABY DRIVER – JUNE 28
